GRANBELM - A NEW ANIME BY RE:ZERO TEAM

 Watanabe and Shinichirou Otsuka, the team behind Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World, will produce a new original anime called Granbelm. Nexus will produce the anime and Jukki Hanada will be in charge of series composition. The anime is scheduled to come out in Summer 2019.

The anime will star:

Miyuri Shimabukuro as Mangetsu Kohinata

She is an ordinary high school student. If someone asks her something, it only takes two questions to get her to do it, whatever it is, but she herself doesn’t think of it as a burden. She isn’t particularly good at sports or studying but she goes along with her classmates. Sometimes she thinks to herself that she ‘can’t do anything’ and a faint longing fills her to find something ‘only she can do and nobody else’.

Atsumi Tanezaki as Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami

This girl lived in Japan when she was a child but then moved to Germany. She came back to Japan only recently. She seems to be a quiet girl to whom one can’t say anything bad. In any case, she doesn’t mind. Unexpectedly she is someone who sometimes can’t tell left from right and thus just follows the lead of Mangetsu, copying her reactions.

Synopsis

She encounters another girl with the name of the Moon, New Year Ernesta Deep Sea.
